MP4
About Us
Most organizations don’t have a delivery problem.
They have a breakdown in how work is led, managed, and executed.
Projects stall not because people aren’t capable — but because:
-
Decisions aren’t clear
-
Ownership is blurred
-
And teams are left navigating uncertainty
From the outside, it looks like missed timelines. From the inside, it’s a system that isn’t aligned.
That’s where MP4 comes in.
We focus on the part of the organization where strategy actually turns into execution — across projects, programs, portfolios, and products.
But structure alone doesn’t solve the problem.
The real challenge is balance:
-
Leadership sets direction
-
Management creates coordination
-
Execution delivers results
Most organizations lean too heavily on one or two of these.
Very few get all three working together.
When they do, delivery starts to move again.
MP4 helps make that happen — by bringing clarity to decisions, alignment to teams, and momentum back to execution.
Mark's Story
That perspective wasn’t built in theory.
It comes from years of being in the middle of work that wasn’t
going the way it was supposed to.
MP4 is led by Mark Thole, whose career spans nearly 30 years
across software development, project leadership, and executive-level
delivery.
He started by writing code — learning early on that ideas only matter if they actually work in practice.
Over time, he found himself stepping into projects that needed help.
Sometimes informally. Sometimes because there wasn’t another option.
Projects that were stuck.
Teams that were capable, but not aligned.
Decisions that weren’t getting made.
And across those experiences, a pattern became clear.
Most delivery challenges aren’t about process.
They’re about how people lead, how teams coordinate, and how decisions get made under pressure.
That insight now sits at the core of how MP4 approaches its work.
Over the years, Mark has worked across roles including developer, project manager, product owner, and PMO leader — supporting organizations ranging from global firms like Accenture to organizations like Organic Valley.
His experience includes leading large-scale ERP programs, building PMO structures, and delivering complex software solutions.
But the real value comes from something else:
Seeing, firsthand, where work breaks down — and knowing how to step in and get it moving again.
MP4 was built on a simple belief:
Most organizations don’t need more process.
They need better decisions, clearer ownership, and alignment.
When those are missing, no framework will fix it.
When they’re in place, teams don’t need to be pushed.
The work changes depending on the situation.
Sometimes it’s advisory.
Sometimes it’s coaching.
And sometimes it means stepping in and helping carry the load.
But the goal is always the same:
Create clarity, build momentum, and help organizations deliver the work that matters.
